Scholar Rescue Fund Fellowships (Исследовательские стипендии, предоставляемые фондом освобождения, Нью Йорк, США). The Scholar Rescue Fund has rescued over 100 scholars from 35 different countries since 2002, enabling them to continue their teaching and research and, essentially, saving their academic work. This effort returns IIE (Institute of International Education) to its work in the 1930s when IIE’s Emergency Committee in Aid of Displaced Foreign Scholars helped more than 330 scholars fleeing persecution in Europe. Academics, scholars and intellectuals from any country and any discipline may apply for fellowships to support temporary visits to institutions in any safe country, in any part of the world. The SRF Selection Committee reviews applications and awards 20-40 fellowships annually to scholars whose lives or careers are threatened. Fellowships are awarded to host institutions for support of specific individuals to be matched by the host institution. Grantee-scholars may continue their work in safety at the host institution—teaching, giving lectures, completing research, publishing their work—throughout the fellowship. Непрерывный конкурс российско-немецких научных проектов в рамках программы «Международные исследовательские группы с участием молодых ученых». В соответствии с Соглашением с Немецким научно-исследовательским обществом (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) Российский фонд фундаментальных исследований объявляет в рамках международной программы DFG «Международные исследовательские группы с участием молодых ученых» (International Research Training Groups) непрерывный конкурс (конкурс ННИОМ_а) на реализацию совместных научных проектов, выполняемых научными коллективами, состоящими из молодых исследователей (аспирантов, молодых кандидатов наук, студентов последних семестров) и их научных руководителей. Подача заявки на участие в конкурсе осуществляется в 2 этапа. Финансирование поддержанных проектов начинается в первой половине года следующего за годом принятия положительного решения по полной заявке, и осуществляется в годовом объеме. Финансирование 2-го и 3-го года работы по проекту проводится по итогам отчетов, представляемых соответственно через 12 и 24 месяца после начала финансирования. Heinz-Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe travel grants (гранты мобильности для молодежи, предоставляемые Фондом Шварцкопфа, Германия). With its travel grants the Heinz-Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe wants to give young people the opportunity to get to know their European neighbours via a study trip and during the trip to confront current pan-European relevant, cultural and/or political issues of the host country. By way of these grants the Foundation aims to make a contribution towards a better understanding among the European nations and an appreciation of the efforts to unite Europe. The travel grant is for € 550 (five hundred and fifty Euros). Eligibility: German citizens between the ages of 18 and 26 may apply as well as young Europeans who wish to become better acquainted with Germany by taking such a study trip. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly qualified, early-stage researchers from abroad, who hold doctorates, to carry out research projects of their own choice in Germany. Applications may be submitted for long-term research stays of at least 6 and at most 12 months; an extension of up to 24 months is possible. Researchers of all nationalities and disciplines may apply to the AvH directly at any time. There are no quotas for individual countries and disciplines. Funding is not available for short-term study visits, participation in conferences, or training courses. Advance agreement with an academic host in Germany who is willing to supervise the research proposal and provide a workplace for carrying out the research project. Age limit: 40. The completed application must be received by the Humboldt Foundation before the applicant's 40th birthday. In well-founded cases - and if the age limit has only just been exceeded - exceptions may be made due to e.g. parental leave. Language skills: Scientists and engineers must have a good proven knowledge of German or English (language certificate required). Scholars in the humanities and social sciences should have a good knowledge of German if it is necessary to carry out the project successfully. The "Hosting a CEU Lecturer" Program enables institutions of Higher Education in the region to receive CEU professors for short lecturing visits. This program is designed to create or strengthen ties between CEU and the host institution, to respond to specific regional needs in terms of academic expertise, and to allow both academics and students to experience CEU's approach to teaching. Any university in Central and Eastern Europe (EU - in exceptional cases) and the Former Soviet Union may request such a visit, as long as the request is for a discipline area that we teach (see introductory list of disciplines below).
