Topics: The international conference is being organized with the purpose of discussing new strategies in order to further human rights, social development and sustainability. The question is if human rights can provide us with new pathways to the understanding of the societal transformation process and to the steering of the development into a sustainable direction.

The range of possible topics includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Models of an effective policy of peace;

Vulnerability and sustainable development;

Sustainable regional development and reduction of poverty;

Social movements for human rights of migrant population;

Study- and research programs for sustainable development; Local resource management;

Innovative learning programs in community education;

Social Development and Transformative Learning;

Informal economy, rural and urban subsistence and sustainability;

Community based cooperatives, foundations, public-private partnerships and community services;

Ethnical economy;

Alternative currency, local banking and savings;

Fair trade, fair consumption, ethical investment.
